The Dodwell House (www.dodwellhouse.org)
The Dodwell House will supply space for programs that will help reduce poverty and inequality, provide outreach to at-risk children, maintain a cultural crossroads for the diverse population served by St. Anna’s and furnish a permanent home for our after-school and Saturday programs and medical outreach.
Dodwell House is consecrated to the work of transformation and reconciliation. In the work of transformation we are dedicated to engendering a culture of boundless horizons of hope, possibility, and integrity. By acts of reconciliation this facility is dedicated to the proposition that all cultures have value; that all peoples are members of the beloved community; and that issues of discrimination can and shall be vanquished by the work set about in this safe environment.
This work will be done through the work of Anna's Place NOLA (formerly Anna’s Arts for Kids and St. Anna’s Mobile Medical Mission). The real vision of this mission will be to:
In so doing Dodwell House will be a beacon of hope and cultural bridge making real our Christian idea, “Love each other.”
