Formed in 2010, we offer year-long programming to kids ages 5-15. Many of our students come from the Treme/7th Ward/Lafitte area as well as various other at-risk neighborhoods around the city. We offer a 3-day a week After-school program, a Saturday arts-focused program and a Summer Camp. All of our activities strive to integrate creative/artistic development and healthy lifestyles into education, ensuring our students develop self esteem through academic achievement and cultural, environmental and community awareness. Activities offered include:
Arts Integrated Academic Projects
Homework Assistance
Nutrition/Health Class and Gardening
Psycho-educational discussion groups led by licensed social workers
Music Therapy with Loyola University Music Therapy Department
Choir, Dance, Drama and African Drumming
Private Music Lessons offered by members of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO)
Environmental Learning including regular trips to Loyola University Biology Department
Various Field Trips around the city (NOMA, Opera, and LPO Performances, and more!)
Technology activities with The Microsoft Store and SPARK
Visual Arts
Swimming lessons
